This is an advanced undergraduate course designed to introduce students to issues faced by those at the crux of social exclusion, those experiencing homelessness, with a focus on homelessness and the criminal justice system. The course will review a number of topics related to homelessness including trends, theory and research on the ways in which homeless people come into contact with the police, courts and correctional system.
