Alain's research explores the use of migrant labour under the Caporalato system, an Italian-based system of agricultural labour exploitation. Alain remains committed to transformative research in operationalizing anthropological knowledge to address ongoing issues of agricultural labour exploitation. His research interests include Mediterranean food systems and social relationships of food production.
