Rhonda C. George is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Dr. George’s research is concerned with the social and intersectional dimensions of race, racialization, and racial stratification within social institutions such as sport, education, popular culture and medicine & health. Grounded in Black Studies and Critical Race Theory, her research is concerned with the ways in which Black communities, particularly Caribbean diasporic groups, experience, navigate, and resist systemic racial barriers.
