The Sociology and Anthropology Society (SOAN Society) is a student run organization affiliated with the department of Sociology and Anthropology. The main purpose of this organization is to host events for students that bring awareness to various sociological and anthropological topics. In addition to this, the SOAN society seeks to build the relationships between students and professors, as well as advocate the needs of students to the Department. In the past, the SOAN society has hosted events such as ‘Meet the Prof Night’, information sessions on exploring graduate studies, and recreational activities. The SOAN Society provides an excellent opportunity to meet other students in your program, provide input into your education, and form lifelong friendships!
