With seven different degree programs in sociology and anthropology to choose from (see below), you’re bound to find one that will allow you to achieve your intellectual and professional goals.

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers a wide range of courses to choose from while at the time recognizing and promoting the importance of interdisciplinary scholarship. Our diverse offerings include courses on contemporary native peoples of Canada, social movements, homicide, migration, kinship, and courses on sociological and anthropological theory and methods.

While the Department places values on all substantive contributions to knowledge, it seeks to foster a supportive environment for research, teaching and professional practice and is committed to the ideals and values of a liberal education.
